Artist Bio

Sadé is a digital illustrator whose style is often described as bold and whimsical yet provocative. Her artwork pulls inspiration from music, anime and pop culture and presents these themes in a way that's eye-catching and fun. Sadé is most recognized for her unique use of colour married with familiar and sometimes macabre subject matter.

What is the inspiration behind your planter?

I am really indecisive and I really like colour and patterns - so I just tried to incorporate all of those things onto my planter!

What does growth mean to you?

Growth is something I believe is a fundamental and inevitable part of every human experience. Every day we have the opportunity to learn from our mistakes and can apply those lessons to better ourselves and others. I see the potential for growth in every thing I do, no matter how frustrating a setback may be or how big the accomplishment, there is always a lesson.

What does community mean to you?

Community is one of the most important things I believe you can cultivate and nurture in life. In many ways community has allowed me to discover passions, gain a better understanding of myself and garner support by like-minded individuals. I began creating art because I happened to have been spending a lot of time with tattoo artists before I started. I saw what programs, resources and tools they used to develop designs and I was able to ask questions about drawing techniques, amongst other things, that gave me the confidence to pursue my own form of art. I think no matter what your thing is there's a community out there that are willing to help support and guide you and the more you bring presence and intention into your passions the easier they will be to find.
