For Women's Month 2024, The Give and Grow partnered with the Deandre Ayton Foundation to host an empowering workshop for 30 young girls from the Portland community group Girls Inc. The event focused on supporting young female athletes through sport and mentorship. Participants teamed up with local plant shop "To You Inspire Flowers" to create beautiful floral bouquets, which they placed in Give and Grow’s signature white basketball planters. The girls also filled out Playbooks, exploring life skills learned through sports and how to apply them to everyday life. To cap off the day, participants received tickets to enjoy a Portland Trail Blazers game, making it an unforgettable experience.
